Police in India’s Karnataka Arrest Five Accused of Pelting Stones at Mosque
The stone pelting incident happened at the Masjidul Huda Juma Masjid in Katipalla 3rd Block, managed by the Krishnapura Muslim Jamaat.
The arrested include Bharat from Ashraya Colony, Chennappa from Katla Ashraya Colony, Nitin from Haleangadi, Manu from Ishwara Nagar, and Sujith from Munchur.
A case under s. 307 has been registered against Bharat due to his involvement in a related fight, and a rowdy sheet has been opened against him at the Surathkal police station.
The incident occurred Sunday night when individuals on two motorbikes, coming from the Janata Colony graveyard, threw stones at the mosque's rear windows.
Following the attack, three people on one bike headed towards Ganesh Katte, while the others fled back towards the graveyard.
